Setting up your TP-Link Archer C6 router as a wireless repeater can be a great way to extend the reach of your wireless network and ensure that all devices in your home have a reliable connection. Here's how to do it:
Connect your TP-Link Archer C6 router to your computer using an Ethernet cable and log in to the router's web-based interface. The default login credentials are usually "admin" for both the username and password.
Navigate to the Wireless section of the router's settings and select Wireless Settings. Here, you'll need to change the router's wireless network name SSID to the same name as your main router's network.
Next, configure the wireless security settings to match those of your main router. This includes selecting the same wireless security protocol WPA/WPA2 and entering the same wireless encryption key.
Save your settings and disconnect the Ethernet cable from your computer.
Move your TP-Link Archer C6 router to a location where it can receive a strong wireless signal from your main router. Make sure it's within range of your main router's wireless network.
