Q&A May, 2017 (Hitfilm Pro 2017 Update #4)

A Q&A session... Sort of. Not really. I haven't had any good questions yet. Ask me question for next time!

I would love to see a start to finish work flow.
Starting with editing then compositing, adding 3d models, sound and grading for final output.
Not sure if this would make a great or boring video but would like to see it. :-)

Some questions/requests:
1. Tutorials on 3d models. Hitfilm has many, and you have given many useful "written tutorials" on the forums, but I'd really like to see maybe a short series on lighting, materials, rigging, animating, compositing, camera rigs, etc.
2. Do you enjoy helping people with Hitfilm (forums, comments, etc), and where did you get all of your knowledge of the software?

Is it possible to point track 4 points in a comp. Then apply a 4 point mask and parent each mask point to an individual track point?

How would one achieve this effect without mocha?

FIRST!...*laugh Question...there are editing programs that can keep a mask tracked to an object from frame to frame? Not the best in most cases, but it can make rotoscoping much easier when the mask only has to be tweaked instead of done for each frame (and I know you can make a mask and then change it per frame, it is just not as easy as a tracked mask). Is there any chance of this coming to HitFilm Pro or Express..? The program I am talking about, just for reference is ColorDirector.
