the perfomance was pre recorded because MAMA couldn't accommodate a live band among other things that were required for their live performance and to meet Bruno's standards. Like most Western artist they want things to be controlled by their team or at least competent people let's be real we've all seen the kpop award cameraman on crack videos so there was many aspects of the performance where MAMA didn't meet the standard like the specific camerawork but the biggest is Bruno's not going to perform without a live band (his band like most artists) and MAMA just couldn't make that happen. Rosé and Bruno were at the show they were there the whole night it was just MAMA not being up to standards for live performance like this.

fyi...the "background singers" are members of bruno's band. they not only sing, they are instrumentalist, dancers and writers as well.
