Context: the creator I stitched is a self proclaimed expert in marketing and makes “downfall” videos of people and brands while selling honey(?). they are getting backlash over a “downfall of Harris” video because they are Canadian claiming expertise in American politics and had undisclosed ties to Trump.

The research even warned participants that some of the concepts they saw were fictitious and it still didn’t reduce how they claimed to know fake knowledge lol

I have a master of business administration and I know little to nothing about politics. Completely unrelated fields. Not to mention I know plenty people with master’s in business that know nothing about business either.
The audacity of this stitched guy as if he’s the only one around with a master’s… a master’s itself doesn’t mean anything at all.

Thats true. The more you know in the field, the more you know of what else you dont know and so your self perceived expertise drops but everyone sees you as expert. On the other hand those who enter the field without actually knowing anything think they know it all

A lot of sports broadcasters have never played professional sports yet commentate on it. I’d say the proof is in the pudding…if the info is flawed then that should be the focus, not the experience of the person. Someone who isn’t known can still be comedy about something. In this case, he probably isn’t…but you shouldn’t write off someone solely for lack of experience or success
