Story line:
" We had already walked 12 miles, but the blizzard was only getting worse. There was one continuous forest around and sometimes we came across small plains. We didn’t want to stop and pitch our tent, as it was not known how long it would snow. Until the morning, up to one meter of snow could fall, because it was very strong. In addition, a village was marked on Bob's map, to which we should have already arrived. Most likely we were let down by the compass, since there was still no village in sight. After walking another 4 miles, at last we saw small houses with burning lights in the windows and realized that we had arrived. All we had to do was to arrange with some of the local residents to spend the night. There were not many houses in the village, about 15-20. We approached the first of them, knocked on the door, about a minute later the door was opened for us by an elderly lady, as we learned her name was Margaret. When we explained the situation, fortunately, she agreed to help us with an overnight stay. She showed us 2 rooms, in one of which Bob was staying, and in the other me. My room was small, about 6 square meters. The bed where I was supposed to sleep was unusual, it looked more like a trestle bed. It was on the windowsill near the window, from which a beautiful view of the village and the forest opened up. Margaret lit the fireplace, and after 10 minutes it was very warm here. The window in the room was large, but at the same time it kept warm, as it had several glasses. I fell off my feet, because today we have covered a huge distance in such difficult conditions. I lay down on the trestle bed and enjoyed the wonderful view from the window. I looked at the houses opposite, at the snow that swept past, at the forest and trees, the branches of which were covered with snow. The blizzard grew even stronger, its pleasant sounds wafted into the room. The sounds of the blizzard combined with the sounds of the fireplace created a very cozy and magical ambience. After 5 minutes my eyes began to close and I fell asleep. " To be continued...
