The biggest waste of money is to fly business on short haul. Actually, anything less than 8 hours on business class is borderline money wasting. The longer the flight, the more the value even if you need to pay more.

The main reason of the 747 being rare is due to low demand (i think). Airlines want more fuel efficiency so thats why.

I used to fly 747's between Korea and LAX as a kid. I remember flying upper deck business class on an Asiana 747 in 95 or 96.

Yeah, sadly many airlines are looking into more fuel efficient twin engine jets. And it seems like Korean air isn’t going to keep these for way too long. Fly Lufthansa to stay on it for a long time! (This is not promo btw they’re actually refitting them and making them king term uses)

Flew a 747 frequently as a kid lol im glad they dont use it as much nowadays. From hospitality stand point, the plane was not as sustainable for businesses and the only thing it was used for was advertisement of luxurious 2 floor airbus… a problem that our industry has been having a problem with since 60s
