I had an art teacher like that, hated her more that anything else in my life to that point. We would get in to horrible arguments at almost every class because I was a little shit who refused to respect her and her subject (in retrospective I was a huge asshole to her). When me and my friends went to visit my school several years after graduation, I found her and tried to apologize for everything I did in her class she told me that I was one of her more memorable students, but not because I was a little shit (because apparently a lot of teenage boys do not have respect for art teachers, so I was not unique) but because I spent time learning about subject so I can argue with her on equal grounds. Teachers are awesome like that
