I tend to go realistic ag - choose a map, look up the local ag information, then limit to those crops. Back in FS17 I did a long term series on Lawfolds (Scotland) - primary crop (around 75% of arable land) is Barley (because Scotland!!!), then Wheat, then Canola and Potatoes. Can make things interesting by limiting access to some crops, and concentrating on others.

I ping-pong around from large maps and big fields to small fields. I like making my own farm from scratch and customizing it as much as the game allows. I can spend hours just on designing the farm yard. Interestingly I am using No Man's land to help us design our current REAL acreage layout. I loved Loan Oak in FS19, since it is about thirty minutes from where I live. I drove to that farm and was amazed at how accurate that map is to the actual area. I think a HUGE addition for the next FS version would be a Map creation module with a fully robust set of tools to create custom maps for the user to play on. I think FS has been around long enough for the team to do that. It would toss the flood gates open.

A great video @FarmerCop 😁. Thank you for the community suggestion as well reference challenges. I had no idea how the idea of creating/sharing challenges was going to go at all. I’m so glad I did it though as my sole purpose was to inspire others to try new mods and mods. Thank you my friend 😁

The set challenges and limitations are pretty good 1s...I HATED doing forestry work until just recently I saw another YT creator doing his small time forestry with a different process and I'm really enjoying forestry now.

I also set some pretty extreme limitations on each new save. 1 that I did for awhile (and enjoyed) that I sent you was the 1 that limited what plots of land I could buy. IRL not every plot of land would be available for sale at anytime so I used a randomizer to determine when plots of land come up for sale. It definitely prolongs the save. This was just 1 I used but I come up with pretty different restrictions on every save I do.

I disable outside and tool cameras, use manual attach and do everything mostly myself (+CP/AD) on a smaller size map with small or medium sized fields using realistic equipment. . Makes the playing much more interesting. Look for real life farming videos for inspiration how things work in a real farm.

I think one of my favorite things to do is look for new productions/maps and how I can build a farm based on those.

I like to play on european style maps with precision farming on and with 90's equipment. So older tractors with manual or powershift gearboxes, older style trailers etc. Make sure every implement is of an older style etc.

Pumps and Hoses is another great DLC that i really enjoy using together with precision farming. Once you get the hang of it and know how to set it up, it is really cool to use. Not very 90's but i will use that.

On pc i like to play as a contractor with courseplay and do as much missions for others as possible.

If you’re able and you play on console, switch to pc. Script mods like courseplay make it a completely different game.

I like trying to be 100% self sufficient. Making my own lime, seed, and fertilizers. The only thing i can’t do is poison.

While you are at this event. Could you ask if they could or if they are planning season challenges, like irrigation, dry lands, need of rotation water cannon in dry seasons, if they will put in realistic climate challenges? That would be cool Farmer cop

I really dont understand the hate sugarcane gets. The harvesting is kinda slow but there is very little work outside that and its super profitable with a sugar factory, even better if you can make chocolate. I make over 200k a year on one field without chocolate.

I always play on highly detailed maps without the ugly base game buildings. I don’t use cheat mods and I use mods like precision farming, crop rotation, etc I play as realistic as the game allows you. In winter I do forestry. I never get bored.
