Don't put your phone and compass close together, unless you want to be lost somewhere and find out your compass is not actually pointing north anymore ...

Last Winter when I climbed Ben Nevis I popped an Irn Bru on top. Probably the most refreshing drink I've ever had.

Having plenty of gloves is a must. I sometimes use Fabsil on my gloves to get maximum waterproof protection and to prevent saturation. If I could afford one I'd recommend the ME Citadel jacket over the Fitzroy as a emergency layer/ warm over layer.
