These companies feel labor laws don’t apply to them. They are awful, here in California on Friday they we’re sending me trips that were the equivalent of 10.00 an hour before expenses.

My whole life I have always gotten a pay raise year after year. Uber and Lyft are the only jobs where every new year the driver's pay goes down and the cost to the driver goes up. Before I would work 8 hours in Boston to make $300. Now I have to work 12 hours to make $250 and $300 on a really good day.

I been an uber driver since 2016 and the minimal for a ride was 3.71 now almost 10 years latter and 3.71 is still the minimum I receive for a ride.

This pertains to NYC. That should have been referenced, based on NYC requirements for drivers. Drivers are to be paid a certain amount of money if they are online a certain amount of time, even if they are not taking rides. This is happening due to Uber and Lyft's onboarding new drivers without limits.

If it’s harmful it’s human rights abuse and they all need to be investigated and taken to jail. The government officials are doing nothing and will do nothing about this because they’re paid by uber and lyft, they benefit from these kind of practices. Rideshare companies make a lot of money from drivers and riders but most of it goes to politicians. How do you think they have been able to get away with such illegal practices for a long time?

Therefore its shady drivers just clocking in online (bc by law in NYC they get paid by just clocking in) not doing anything effecting drivers trying to.

Uber takes 60-70% of whatever the total cost the rider pays. So, if they pay 100 the driver only keeps 40-30. Another issue is the hacking that happens at airports.

The main issue is they need to show the drivers the full fares that customers pay and the full tip. Cause uber could be skimming the tips before giving it to drivers
