Yuan Yang and Abtisam Mohamed were rejected because they were suspected of plans to "document the activities of security forces and spread anti-Israel hatred", according to a statement from the Israeli immigration ministry.

Nick Ferrari was joined by:
- Nicholas Westcott, Professor of Practice in Diplomacy at SOAS University of London, and a former British diplomat, says 'it is very rare for one country to exclude the parliamentarians of another'.

- Richard Pater, Director of Bicom, the Britain-Israel Communications and Research Centre, who suggests people should come to Israel 'with an open mind'.

Tory leader Kemi Badenoch said she was "not surprised" the pair had been denied entry, adding that it was important to "respect other countries enforcing their borders".

Foreign Secretary David Lammy rebuked the Tory leader for "cheerleading" Israel.

Getting an opinion from Bicom is like getting an opinion from Aipac. Completely pointless, you just know youre going to get israeli talking points

Ferrari informs viewers that Israel mistakenly murdered 15 first aid workers... just to get the Israeli's claim throught... for balance. Unbiased reporting from him as usual

Surely if Israel has done nothing wrong they would want to show critics that they are wrong. The fact that they are not letting them in only reinforces the view that Netanyahu is engaged in illegal actions against the Palestinians.

With "allies" like this, who needs enemies?

Never forget that Israel supplied arms to Argentina during the Falklands War.

They don't want the war crimes in the West Bank to be seen and exposed. There must be freedom and justice for Palestinians

It is strange what annoys people. For some reason you find not allowing a couple of MPs into a country more of a crime than the actual evil crimes committed by that country. ANYONE( with an ounce of humanity) who's seen and heard what's happening there would be appalled and outraged by the actions of the israelis... In fact the government should have banned any MP from going in protest.

What lies did the MPs utter? If you want people to enter Israel with an open mind, open Gaza and the W. Bank to independent western journalists, who can see and judge for themselves.

Can we be clear about what actually happened?
The two MPs were part of a Parliamentary delegation to the West Bank and the occupying force from Israel blocked their entry. They were not "visiting Israel".

With friends like America and Israel, the world doesn't need anymore enemies.

'Back bench MP's' 'Enemies of the state'...charming language, its easy to make blanket statements. I just want to know what these 2 MPs did or said that deserved their detainment and deportation.

This chap called Richard does not seem very middle eastern to me and its right to say he would only be giving an official Israel line on the matter.

Regardless of the circumstances, it’s absolutely disgusting that the leader of the opposition is backing another countries government’s decision rather than backing her own parliaments MPs

That's what happened when you put a foreign country first, and you give them extensive military and diplomatic support, and this they treat the uk government no appreciate. Wow
