Social & Emotional Learning: Finding Joy

Blanton Museum of Art educator Ray Williams introduces paintings by two artist, Ellsworth Kelly and Shara Hughes, while viewers think of creative new ways to find joy. A Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) competency considered in this video and corresponding journal prompts is self-awareness.

In this series of 3- to 5-minute videos each featuring one or two works of art from the Blanton's collection, students are invited to look closely and make connections to lived experience. Videos are designed to stimulate discussion in a group or to be used by individual students asynchronously.
