My father lived on a sailboat in Marina Del Rey, in between his job with Fed-Ex.. He was always on the road and found comfort on that Sailboat... I lost him in 2008, so I went out there to the City of Angels... in the land of a billion lights.. He loved it there... it was my first time in L.A... Stayed on his boat for 4 nights that I was there, That's where I felt comfort.... He wanted his ashes spread right there in the breakwater, and, that's just exactly what I did... The fireworks at the end of this beautiful song, reminded me of the celebration of his life, the big party on the dock... I was amazed at how many friends he had out there..and I like to think it was all for him...
