BOAT WORK - Are We Crazy To Think We Can Do This??? Sailing Vessel Delos Ep. 407

We're starting to wonder if we've bitten off more than we can chew 😬 Haul outs are always a struggle, so we really shouldn't be suprised at this point that everything always takes way longer and turns out to be more difficult than planned. We had our trip booked to Sweden already to visit Kazza's family, and we wanted to get as much done as possible while Ryan was still there to help, so with the clock ticking we put our heads down and went for it (with of course a few minor moments of distraction when a dune buggy was calling my name...)

But ready or not, we make the long journey to Sweden which was soooo amazing. We didn't film a whole lot while we were there because we wanted to take the time to focus on family and have a much needed break from filming and sharing everything all the time, but it was truly a special trip for us. Sierra absolutely loved getting in some quality time with Mormor, seeing snow for the first time, and just generally having time and space to run around and explore. We were able to really recharge our batteries, which was great because we still had a lottttt of boat work waiting for us when we returned to Mexico!

Funny how Delos (meaning Brian, Kazza, Sierra, Brady and Blue, hell the entire family and crew) has become a part of me. Started out as an amazing escape, but now I get nearly as much joy watching Sierra play in the snow as I did watching the crew become one with the sea on the Indian Ocean passage and the sojourn on Chagos. What a journey. Thank you all so much.

I found your channel during Covid lockdowns in 2020. I decided to watch starting at your first video and, today, I am slightly saddened that I have caught up. I now must wait for the next Delos video to be released. I have enjoyed hundreds of hours of videos over the last few years and can’t wait to see where you will go next!

Shout out to Ryan and Demetrius for your boatyard help on Delos.👍Fun in the sand with the dunebuggy.👏 Seeing Mormor, Sierra's first snow, and work on your future residence in Sweden was heartwarming and fun. Sharing a piece of the tightly woven fabric of Delos. Thank you. ❤

Would you believe that these are my favourite videos, the boat work vids? They keep me grounded. I'm an arm-chair sailor. Had a boat. Also have my own landscaping business. So it never worked out. I live vicariously through Delos and Uma and Atticus et al. While your open water adventures make me question my life and I want to hit the open seas, these videos remind me that it's not all fun and games. It's still a great deal of work and expense. So I will keep working, make my money, and retire to boat ownership in the Caribbean when the time comes. Keep living your life so I can keep "sailing".

Oh wow! One project alone is probably not enough for you, is it? I wish you the best of luck with your house and Delos home renovation, actually I wish you twice: simply the best!🤗🥰

This may be my favorite episode! Partly because we have stayed inRocky Point with our kids who live in Phoenix: but mostly because of your visit to Sweden and your family there. I love your sailing and all the ways you show the back story of Delos! Thank you!

Brian, you are a legend Mechanic. If I was sailing in blue water I would want you along. Delos is a well appointed cruiser and she has the benefit of a well appointed skipper. Don't ever doubt yourself. Your'e the best.

Awww, this really WAS such a Very full episode, I for one appreciate you having the boatyard work and your trip to see her Mormor & the snow ALL in it ! I hope the flights were tolerable. So sweet to see Sierra dressed up a little being on land. She has really gotten the knack of saying "No". Pretty normal, when they find out they CAN say it... they do! ~Thank you both, so very much!

Love Kazza’s mom❤
She’s the best!
What would Delos & her crew be, without all the incredible family & friends to share all things life with!
