If he did see that far it explains why the turaga are so secretive and cryptic. If they were to reveal too much it could interfere with everyone's destinies. It mever made sense to me why the turaga were like that, since they themselves were Matoran not too soon before becoming Turaga. I wouldn't be surpised if Vakama had decided to keep a lot from his fellow Turaga as well.
