The US after spending 2 Trillion USD and still suffering defeat in Afghanistan is not the same US of 20 years ago. It is a much weaker US that could not take the risk all by herself. Pulling the 2 American poodles together will not mean much anyway. It is just a way to save face after the disastrous Afghanistan retreat.
