I’m guessing while she loves UC, it’s the long term ops she’s very hesitant on because she knows those are the most relationship testing ones. My guess is S5 ends with her accepting a long term one and s6 being we see how it turns out for them and maybe her realizing she can only do short terms.

Or as seen, Tim not being able to handle another relationship where UC takes up everything in Lucy. While there were other factors in his marriage, we saw UC did play a major role. Understandable he has trauma and issues with it.

Also, maybe it’s just me, but imo i don’t think Lucy has a long career in UC because she’s done what 3 documentaries? I feel like that’s bound to blow back and blow her cover. UC is supposed to be on the low, not in public front and center. Maybe just me thinking like that.

This can go either really good, or really bad. I’m just praying the writers don’t screw the relationship, the character developments for both, and the love the fans have for them and this show.

I loved undercover chen because thats the only time the writers truly show her potential as the badass cop that she is. As a patrol officer its always Nolan who gets the good cases ofcourse cause he is the lead and chen is wasting her time and potential chasing misdemeanours. But as much as I love undercover chen I was kinda happy she didnt do well at the detectives exam and is now looking at being a sergeant. Not only will that be good for her career and showcase her potential but would also be a boost for their relationship

My question is this, didn’t she go on a very public documentary, dressed as a police officer? It’s already been referenced outside of the station, by a completely uninvolved character. Remember the girl in the truck with the werewolf prop? She talked about the murder documentary? And she talked about Tim? Wouldn’t she be recognized? She was in multiple police documentaries.
