I own a 2007 double cap with a 166k miles on it and running great. I would advise to use BG products to clean the engine and the fuel system, it is massive change in performance honestly and saved a bit of gas

Last week I purchased a 135k mile 2016 Sr 4.6L Tundra for 16, 750 out the door. I called over 10 dealers haggling back and forth to get the best deal. I used the money I saved in haggling to purchase a mobile mechanic inspection and the report came back extremely favorable. Tundras are not cheap and it’s worth calling around to get the best deal.

Throw a color matched Rock Warrior grill on these years & it's a tough front end to beat.

Legendary longlife truck better than any of the new forced turbo small poo engines

Love your channel. Just an FYI... Even here in the P.R.K., second gen., '07 - '13 Tundras (SR5) with ~150K on the clock have been pegged at about $19K-ish since January 2022 or so, since I started watching. Keep in mind that was at about the height of the COVID-induced chip shortage and new/used car buying frenzy/scarcity. P.R.K. is horrible for taxes, vehicle registration, fuel prices... everything, really, but the secondhand vehicles tend to be very clean. No salt, no rust, etc. This commenter's next vehicle purchase will in all likelihood be a 2008 - 2021 Tundra SR or SR5. There is every probability that these vehicles will come to be known as the last of the classics, the last of the storied Toyota reliability and bulletproof trucks. Small displacement, dual-turbo, hybrids with tempting mpgs and astronomical HP and torque numbers, are the stuff of Democrat Party, save-the-planet, wet dreams. The rest of us will call this development in engine tech... a farce.

I owned my 2005 double cab, 4.6 V8.1st Gen which served me well with over I15, 000 having no issues other than reg maintenance. In 2016 I purchased my Gen2 -Crew cab.5.7 V8 which to this point has given me excellent service. Toyota Tundra has always been known for reliability and dependability. The Gen 3 Tundra has not Wowed me at all. And Mark I don’t want anything growing on me . I ether like it or I don’t. Keeping my 2016, feeling my chances are pretty good👍

Love my 2014 Tundra SR5 4x4. Only 64k on it and I tow my 27 ft travel trailer with no issues. Handles well towing and get about 11 mpg when towing.
Keep up the great videos !

In December ‘23 I bought my first Tundra. 2011 5.7 spruce green double cab with 64, 000 miles for $20k. I felt like it was a good deal and I love the truck! However my peers think I way overpaid. I scan’t find a cleaner tundra for sale for that price so who knows. I’m happy with my purchase!

That is a beautiful truck and as a 2nd gen Tundra owner I agree you cannot beat that 5.7L Force V8. My only concern would be the common problem of the cam tower leak on those first couple of years. It is right about the miles that it would start to happen or would be happening soon, and my cousin who has a 2011 paid $4, 100 to get his repaired just a few months ago (hence why it is on my mind).

He loves his truck, of course it is paid off, and isn't crazy to buy a new truck today, so he paid it but was disappointed in just how much labor went into fixing it.

Best Tundra of all-time? The one I own...2021 TRD Pro Double Cab. I ordered it December 2020 and got it April 2021. I ordered it to get the color I wanted, and apparently at that time Toyota was only making TRD Pro double cabs on order, which tells me 2021 Double Cab TRD Pros are incredibly rare. I've never seen one in person and maybe 2-3 online for sale in three years.

Anyway, I put RCI rock sliders on it, a 12K lumen light bar in the hood, 285/70/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers, and a Leer hard tanou cover on the bed. I get comments all the time on that truck three years later. 51, 800 miles as of today.
