“He Strengthened democracy…” PM Modi heaps praise on former PM Dr Manmohan Singh in Rajya Sabha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday bid farewell to his predecessor Manmohan Singh and said the former PM will be remembered for strengthening democracy.

Lauding Singh’s contributions to Rajya Sabha and to the country as prime minister between 2004 and 2014, Modi said, “The way Manmohan Singh ji guided this house and the country, his contributions will surely be remembered when democratic annals of Indian history are discussed.”
