I agree it would add on to the final scene where maul and qan-guy fought because we would know he is a lot bigger threat than that scene suggested

There's also a deleted scene just before this when qui gon spots and destroys one of the seeker probes, which is actually why they were running as they approached the ship. So, again, it's much better context to what we actually saw. And I wish it was all kept in
