For the next board as a part of the five board sale, we have this RK61. As many of you know on my channel, my sister has wanted to get in custom mechanical keyboards herself and has already build and sold one board, of which you can find on the channel. For her second board, she wanted to do something even more budget oriented, a project which has culminated in this. Though it is ultra-budget relative to the rest of the boards on this channel, it has truly turned out to be a very enjoyable board with a quite unique and satisfying sound signature. It genuinely feels like typing on marshmallows. Hope you enjoy!

Here are the five boards for sale:

Plate: POM (used in video), Polycarbonate, and Aluminium
Keycaps: Dominikey WoB Tripleshot ABS
Switches KTT Kang White frankenswitch ($1.00ish per switch), lubed with a special 3 lube combination (classified)
Stabilizers: Durock v2, lubed with 205g0, holee modded
Accessories: Comes with all accessories, including all foams, carrying case, coiled cable, etc.

Plate: Premium Mirror Polished Aluminium (used in video) and an FR4
Switches: Boba Linear Thocks, lubed w/ 205g0, 105 on springs; mods are KTT Kang Whites lubed in the same manner
Keycaps: MAXKEY SA WoB Doubleshot ABS
Stabilizers: Durock v2, lubed with 205g0, holee modded
Weight: WHOPPING ~5.2 lbs, almost the same as the Size.L TKL ~5.6 lbs

It's funny how much the hobby has changed. When I started, probably close to 30 years ago, we were all looking for the most tactile, most satisfying "click" we could find; sometimes case reverb (what we now call "ping") was a desirable thing, and finding ways to tune that sound was an odd, yet criminally under-appreciated aspect of the hobby. I'm still a tactile fan, and orange alps will forever be my favorite switch, and although I despise linear switches, even I can't deny the sound of a well-built board with linears and the right keycap material can sound absolutely stellar.

"I want to eat this keyboard" is probably the most used phrase that i use to describe good sounding keyboards, especially with the way switches are branded and keycaps looks these days, the keycaps looks like jellies and some switches are packaged like foods
