Not sure if you’d wanna try it but maybe swap the on/off switch from another cab to see if that is the issue? Think it’s just one 2 wire pin to the encoder board…..after disassembly of course. And I’d think most switches are the same.

But this why I’m on hold going further until I see it’s worth our coin. We actually sold our XL GT, and as much as I want Blitz….not gonna happen as of right meow.

Dude that sucks man, , , And it sucks if you take it back and replace it, gotta put it together again, I'm still waiting on my replacement control panel for my Tempest known issue was hoping Glen would have a fix for that offered to send him a broken one didnt hear back... I would love to be able to fix it on my own....

It’s not the monitor it’s the encoder board I had the same exact issue with my nba jam, they sent me the whole control panel and it worked

Mine has been good for the last 3-4 months but I also used that Best Buy 'Total Tech' warranty so I should be good for 2 years on it.

That totally sucks! They should throw in something to make things right. Given your investment in these 1up cabs they need to show some customer service!

I'm 90% sure your monitor is burnt because of a poorly assembled pcb. I had a Golden Tee that worked great for less than a week until the monitor died. I discovered a ground wire inside the pcb which came loose and killed the monitor.
I purchased a MK cabinet and before I assembled it I checked inside the pcb and found a loose ground wire.
CHECK INSIDE THE PCB AND CONTROL DECK FOR ANYTHING LOOSE BEFORE ASSEMBLY.

Sorry Pdubs your having so much problems with that!! They probably have to send you a brand new control panel, something inside not working. I hope it gets resolved fast, very frustrating!!!

It could also be the on/off switch. If you have a Multimeter you can check it..

This is frustrating. I hope they do you right. Aside from the LCD being crap, and the early firmware issues that were solved, mine hasn't been giving me any problems but I admittedly don't play it as much these days (I do power it on almost daily and just leave one of the games in attract mode). Hoping things don't change...especially past the warranty period (which I'm probably on the last few days).
