Do You Have Streaky Mirrors? Bathroom Cleaning | Day 7 Spring Cleaning Spree 2024 #cleaning #howto

Let’s get rid of those streaky mirrors and start on the bathroom on Day 7 of the Spring Cleaning Spree 2024! To get started in the bathroom I like to clear off all of the counters and empty the drawers/cabinets of my vanity so I can get those not too often cleaned spaces sparkling clean! I like to vacuum out all the drawers and then wipe them out with my three towel system. It’s also a great time to reorganize those spaces. For the counters I like using my DIY Alcohol Mix of 1 cup water, 1 cup 70% isopropyl alcohol, and a few drops of dawn dish soap. Then to finish off the day and the true key to streak free mirrors is the TWO TOWEL system - one towel to clean and one towel to buff out the streaks and dry the surface! As a professional cleaner, this is correct. Although to do things expediently, I either use just enough product to get marks up and come away dry or use an unused portion of the towel to pick up left behind streaks. If when you're done it's clear and dry, you can leave it be 👍

I use dry newspaper after cleaning my mirror. Works like a charm!

For minimizing streaks on the mirrors, i find it helps to wipe one way when cleaning (let's say left to right) and then the opposite way (up and down) when drying.

Ooo tip for glass and mirrors:
Yes foam cleaner, and try a wet magic eraser for stubborn water spots :)

When I worked for a cleaning business there were some products that just wouldnt come off the mirrors with that cleaner. No matter how many cloths I used, it was still a streaky mess. Then one of the ladies I was working with told me to try just plan water. Worked like a charm! Now I only use water and a cotton wash cloth for my own mirrors (dont use fabric softener on your laundry or you will have problems)

Im adding a very important note for when doing the mirror... Notice how when he got to the mirror he claims to use the phone glass cleaner with two towels then the shot went to the mirror and please this is the most important note, turn off the light. This is key for not having streaks in the mirror
