The movie was not exactly what I was hoping for however the cartoon Mulan is always there when I need it. Now my thoughts on this scene, I do love the change that she reveals her true identity on her own, the music soundtrack of this scene is well done. Thanks for uploading.

Diaval and Xianniang are avian shapeshifters based on petbirds of DisneyVillains.

Although I love the original animated Mulan, I thought this scene was well done. Think about it. The song "Reflection" is about showing the world who she is instead of trying to be something else. When she looks at the sword in this scene, she sees her reflection, and the character for "true" inscribed on the sword is a reminder for her to be her true self. As she rides into battle, she no longer rides in as "Hua Jun" but as Hua Mulan. That is why I find this scene so powerful.

This was incredibly stupid given how in the '98 version both Fa Zhou and Mushu made it very clear that if Mulan was found out to be a girl the Imperial Army would kill her even though in the end Shang spared her life for saving his own and only Chi Fu wanted her dead

It’s just a missed opportunity tho as much as I have no prob sitting through it lol it’s like damn… this movie coulda had it all if y’all kept most of the original plot coulda had dope songs, on top of great comedy, I guarantee Eddie Murphy wouldn’t have turned down a return cuz they shoulda kept mushu, and all the dope action sequences would have been the perfect bow to top it off with(p.s making it Shangs character find her in the lakebath instead of those other three was hilarious)
