What probably heightened the perception of difference between Thames and LWT were the fact that both were as different as chalk and cheese when it came to branding, presentation, programme policy etc.

Probably LWT had a far more more fraught diplomatic relationship with Granada than with Thames.

Incidentally, weren't those AWP repeats moved out of peaktime by Thames in their region because they failed to do as well as anticipated?
