CTN Rees's Pieces, Opening Reception, April 1st- Zoom View

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION: “REES’S PIECES” features the artwork of one family in five ‘flavors’ and covering three generations - over 80 creations, executed in a wide range of materials including charcoal, inks, graphite, watercolors, wood, clay, bronze, pastels and pixels. Jerry Rees displays bronze sculptures based on the fairytale “Rapunzel” and digital paintings from his original film concept “Strawman”. Rebecca Rees’s fine paintings and classic ink brushworks focus on her heartfelt connection with the natural world. Wilder Rees employs graphite and digital painting software to whimsically depict everything from single characters to story-centric scenes. Composer Ian Rees contributes original music, inspired specifically by his parents’, grandparent’s and brother’s works on view in the gallery. Harold Rees’ lovingly crafted violins, violas, cellos and mandolins reflect his deep love for artistry and music.
