I first listened to this song days after my grandpa passed away. There’s something about the chorus that resonated with my state of mind at that moment. Grief, but at the same time a great sense of accomplishment and beauty despite the terrible loss that I had just suffered. I was still in shock, but somehow the song put into a melody exactly how I was feeling. My grandpa was such a loving, strong and giving person, he always had my back. I miss him so much, and when this song plays on my iPhone I always tear up a little.
