I have been studying English for 35 years, until today I have really never noticed the difference between about the pronunciation of man (mæn) and men "/men/ it is almost no noticeable, but became easy now all of the sudden as magic. That’s how I figure out I can do “you pretend that you are going to speak an “A” but speak an “E” instead this is the “æ” sound, it’s very similar to the umlaut in German “ü” or the “u” sound in French you pretend to speak an “O” but you speak an “U” instead. But this tip refers to us romance language native speakers, we only have 5 to 7 vowel sounds, in English we have 12 different sound vowels.
