Underrated fight of all time IMO. Moorer was outboxing him every round and foreman kept his hands down and just ate shot after shot it looked like he was being abused. Then tires Moorer out and fucks him up. That’s a truly GREAT fighter

Foreman just missed the mark with that left-right combo the first time, then George came right back with it and bingo, that right hit Moorer pin-point flush to knock his ass out!
Gotta give Moorer credit, he fought a good fight and hit George with everything he had, but he wasn't powerful enough to stop Big George Foreman.

The KO was not surprising. Taking nothing away from Moorer who fought a smart fight and was well ahead on points, Foreman was landing big shots throughout. Several times he knocked Moorer back a couple of steps, and seconds before the knockout he landed a good one-two that seemed to stun the champion. The real question is how Moorer stood up so well to George's punching power throughout the fight.

They both looked like a couple punching bags until Foreman finally nailed Moorer.

Foreman had his glove on moorers glove all night so yes he was landing still but it lessen the blows as well as him stopping moorer shoulders when he threw …foreman is a very smart fighter

In several fights Moore has been caught under trained and gassed out. I think that he thought...hey this is a old man I'll get him out of there. But Mike didn't count on a couple things. How well George can take a punch, how hard George can punch, and how much George wanted it. Great fight one of my favorites

I agree that foreman was the greatest boxer ever even when he was overweight he could put you to sleep at his leisure but you have to admire Moorer who was a better boxer than people gave him credit for, hard as nails and technically a very accurate boxer.

It is for this reason that Ali and his clan did everything to ensure that the rematch of the century never took place....? The greatest heavyweight boxer of all time is George Foreman and not Ali because if he had been the greatest he would have arranged for there to be a rematch in the months following the Zair fight... Georges Foreman is the Greatest Heavyweight of All Time
