Clickbait. I got suckered in because it said Goodbye 4680. Completely false. If any of these techs are better than Tesla's current 4680 formula, then Tesla will keep the 4680 format and fill with the new formula.

I will buy a Electric car when you can go 800 miles on a charge and not have to wait 12 hours to recharge it. It must not cost more to charge then what it cost to fill my car. And when it cost less to replace the battery on it then it cost to replace a gas motor. I don't ever see that happening.

Salt water batteries are the best option. One it utilizes something there is plenty of. If factories are placed near oceans. The metal exterior could be created with the metal we currently have until we learn what pressure and temps and vibrations can create all the materials we need. Though to do so it takes oil. Which means no burning fossil fuels utilize it in creating eco friendly products. The changing of machinery is inevitable we have to go with best quality smaller batteries will be designed as well. You need less because they are bigger so cost is about the same.

A part related to the altinater, why couldn't the mighty Musk come up with a part that charges the batteries automatically useing the car's motion? No there's no engine to move belts that drives the altinater but, wheels are moving, there are some moveing parts that can connect to a part that would charge and keep a charge in the batteries. If this came out, you wouldn't have to charge at all because, the car would charge its self. I believe the EV will be improved and perfected between now and the next 5 years. So in 5 years, if the world is still here, i will take a look at the EV and see if it's worth giving up my buick lacrosse hybrid, my 2020 Nissan pathfinder rock creek and my car payment free life to get one. If they are not self charging yet then atleast reduce the charge time to 10 minutes. When i drive to Florida from Pennsylvania through the night, im trying to make time not loose it by sitting for 30 to 45 minutes. Oh yeah, bullet trains run on electric. When the day comes America wakes up and builds bullet trains up and down the eastern seaboard, then i wount have to drive at
