Minecraft, But We Are All Colorblind... It was really cool to be able to see Minecraft how @GeorgeNotFound does! This was really weird...

This is a Minecraft 1.16 mod that allows us to see with the same colorblindness that @GeorgeNotFound has. It was really interesting to see through @GeorgeNotFound 's eyes and see the game the same way he does. Things were really different and Minecraft looked how I would never have expected it to do. I love doing these type of things with my friends.

For anyone who is confused, pink and teal appear as a light blue or gray since those colors are where George’s green and blue cones meet. Most Trichromats need all 3 cones to be activated to see grey or white, but George only needs 2 to be activated to see grey or white. this is why the diamond armor being a shade of teal (activating the green and blue cones) turned to a light grey.

Fun fact, did you know that the cones in your eyes affect the color you see, red, green and blue are the base colors. I assume George’s red cones are not working properly and green cones can only be activated with the help of red cones and a little from the blue cones. So that’s why red-green color blind people see mostly blue and gray scale, with a few muddy or dark colors from the little activation of the green that leads to yellow being common and blues being vibrant.

This video also raises the much bigger question of, do we see the same colors? Even as non-colorblind people. There is literally no way to know.
