Out now on Steam, GOG, and PS4!

Originally released by LucasArts in 1993 as a sequel to Ron Gilbert’s ground breaking Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle is a mind-bending, time travel, cartoon puzzle adventure game in which three unlikely friends work together to prevent an evil mutated purple tentacle from taking over the world!

Now, over twenty years later, Day of the Tentacle is back in a remastered edition that features all new hand-drawn, high resolution artwork, with remastered audio, music and sound effects (which the original 90s marketing blurb described as ‘zany!’)

Players are able to switch back and forth between classic and remastered modes, and mix and match audio, graphics and user interface to their heart's desire. We’ve also included a concept art browser, and recorded a commentary track with the game’s original creators Tim Schafer, Dave Grossman, Larry Ahern, Peter Chan, Peter McConnell and Clint Bajakian.

Day of the Tentacle was Tim Schafer’s first game as co-project lead, and a much beloved cult classic! This special edition has been lovingly restored and remade with the care and attention that can only come from involving the game's original creators. It’s coming to Windows, OSX, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita early next year!

Thanks for doing this guys, one of my all-time favourite games. Played it through on PS4 twice already, the revamped control system suits the PS4 perfectly.

It was weird for me playing this given that I'm much more familiar with Bernard's voice actor being Les Nessman from WKRP in Cincinnati.

Honestly this should've been made a feature length animated movie.

0:46 Doesn't the letter actually have the words in the final version of the remastered game instead of the squiggle lines?

I prefer the pixelated original version. The style was what it was, drawings were good and translate well into HD. But they were still designed to be at low resolution.

What a blast, I just played this on my Xbox. I saw it suddenly in the games store! I never actually finished it when I was young(er). But what, this game came out 4 years ago? But not on Xbox for some reason? I feel left out..
DOTT and Curse of Monkey Island is probably 2 of my favorite games, I would love if there was made more Point-N-Click games these days. I guess they sold bad for a while, but maybe there is a bigger/more open market today?
I will also buy ALL the Lucas Arts Point-N-Clicks if you give me that possibility, so please go ahead and make it possible! :D :D Especially if they are remastered! Quickly, before I spend all my lucre and riches on something stupid.
