I always thought the Gospel reading wasn't during the Divine liturgy and that was why the priest read on the right side during Orthos.

Hello Father, fellow Byzantine Catholic here asking a question that me, a few other Eastern Catholic and Orthodox people wonder. How do we know what God the Father looks like? Its heavily disputed whenever he is depicted jn certain icons of the Trinity

Gospel is always read in front if the gates. Never seen what you describe.
