Matrix isnt about a computer simulation, because thats just a metaphor for the perspective we see the world.In your mind, some stuff are impossible, some are dangerous bad and scary.Matrix is basically these illusions, in reality:Youe world view is mostly wrong and your instincts and fake facts about the world you learn from parents or from experiences pull your eyes a fake world.Escaping is only possible when you first realise this scheme, then try to challenge every boundary of world.(Doing so most likely requires power or money.) Then you get to know yourself and bending the rules of this fake reality you became the one(true self) and free yourself(humanity in the movie).Of course original trilogy ends with neo sacrificing himself sort of like jesus.Which means dying physically or even spiritually for your goal and beliefs.
