Manual transmission will never die at 60K miles. I love Scotty for telling the truth.

Mazda 3's are amazing little cars, I've had 2 of them so far. Only problem is rust. If you live in a place where there's snow, your mazda 3 will turn to dust long before any of the engine stuff goes bad.

I have a 2009 Mazda 3 and bought it for 4500 cash. At the time of purchase it had 108k miles and was in perfect condition. So I haven't had a single problem with it and i'm around 136k miles right now. It's a great car.

Loved my 2013 Mazda 3; had to go larger to hold my own on the highways of New Jersey.
Now a 2022 Camry SE

I guess Scotty would approve of my last two rides!

Saturns were good until GM corporate started meddling with it. My '98 SL-2 runs like a top with a tad under 200K mi. on it. Around town, 28 mpg summer, 26 mpg winter. 36 mpg highway with the 5-spd. [Wink.] JMO.

My first car was a 2002 Mazda protégé hatchback and I loved it. I miss it too

Hey, I put a lotta miles on a Ford Escort that was "mostly Mazda". That 5 speed four banger got 40 per gallon, drove it ten years, and I only paid $900 for it! 🤣

For the last year, I've owned a 2021 Mazda 3 hatch "deluxe", which I bought new. I couldn't find a manual one while I was "in the buying mood", so I reluctantly decided to try the second automatic I've ever had in my life! I have NOT been disappointed- that six-speed auto is sweet. Paddle shifts are fast. Driving it puts a grin on my face all the time.

I had a 2008 Mazda 3 I paid $600 for at 247000km, it was the best first car ever, only broke down once because I didn't change the alternator when the pulley was rattling but it stayed that way for 2 months! 😂 other than that it was all preventative maintenence and some body work to get rid of the rust. Gave the car to a family member at 283000km and it's still going strong! Boy, I sure miss the sportiness of that car...

You are the best, Scotty! Anyone who shares is the best.
Had 2 fuel pumps in 4 years on a 2001 Silverado 6.0...had rust from the filler neck foul the first replacement. Got a filler neck along with replacement pump (lifetime warranty) and had a tablespoon of rust from the tank after cleaned. Runs great now!

I have an 09 Mazda 3 base model manual 5 speed with 273K miles on it. I bought it new in Dec. 2008 and it's still running very well. I love this car and it still gets good mileage. I really wish they hadn't stopped making manual transmissions in the Mazda 3 sedan as I really want a newer base model car with a manual stick shift. Toyota Corrola hatchback is the only base model car of good quality that I can find with manual transmission and I'm not sure if I really like the hatchback body style.

Had a 2006 Mazda6. Love it. Amazing car. The transmission was my only issue. It wouldn't shift into 4th, it would Rev to redline and Slam into gear. I would help it along by letting off the gas and waiting for it to catch easier, or I would shift it up manually.

I purchased a 2007 mazda3 in 2007, New. 2022 and I still have it with over 160k miles in it and I will be keeping it until the wheel falls off. I've done preventive maintenance and replaced the struts.

That can be a problem with older cars passing the emission inspection. From what I read on the Virginia DMV's website, it appears on the counties/cities in Northern VA require an emission inspection, while the rest of the state does not.

Got a 2010 Mazda 3 last week. Just did some oil change and it's running so awesome. It's my first Mazda, I love it, steering in corners is extremely good, I travel across mountains, my Toyota doesn't handle corners as well as the Mazda
