I’m ever so thankful too that you survived it and are overcoming your injuries, and accepting what you cannot change, and that you have such a marvelous support system. I’m 74, but at age 17 my boyfriend (later we married), were hit by a speeding drunk driver on my side (bumper area). We had a VERY old truck which had no seatbelts, so I went flying through the windshield ! We were barely creeping up the incline (old SLOW truck, which I’m glad we couldn’t go any faster), but he was flying, so even with our slow speed, the impact was horrible ! I was VERY fortunate to not have been seriously injured ! I still have scars, inside and out, but they’re a small price to pay. I still thank God daily for this miracle of life. The accident happened just a block from the hospital too. I actually walked to it. Just wasn’t ready yet to get into another moving vehicle. The drunk driver fled the scene, but my b/f somehow got his license number and he was tracked down. Once again though, he fled, left the State that time and was never found again. I’ll never forget his name though, Bernie Bailes, in case anyone out there knows of him ! We won’t sue or anything, but I’d love to let him know how badly HIS irresponsible choices affected my entire life. I, too, had some brain injury, but nothing as severe as yours. I still have nightmares about the accident too. Most of the damage has healed with time, or I’ve adjusted to the after-effects. I don’t see the nightmares ever stopping though. I’m fortunate that’s my only real problem these days !
Anyway, the Debbie Downer here with his nasty nonbeliever comment is the person with the real problem ! He evidently is quite miserable, but won’t admit it. I doubt he has much true joy in his life also. The scene portrayed in this video can happen, and does happen, daily. It also has happened with my first granddaughter and is once again happening with my second granddaughter. Two kids, 14 years apart, same residence, but two different dogs !! Also, when either child is at my house, yet another different dog behaves in exactly the same way when either child goes to the window to see what’s going on outside. Plus, she goes to the door with them every time. Of course too, an adult goes to the door with the 3 year old, but Ladybug (pit bull) is always by her/their side consistently, be it door or window. Dogs and children have unimaginable bonds. Adults and dogs have almost the same bonds, but the bond with a child is beyond special and is truly a gift from God. It takes a loving heart and soul for many many adults to understand completely. Evidently, this doubting Thomas has neither of those beautiful qualities. I truly feel sorry for him. I’ll bet he leaves sour comments on a lot of these types of videos. And too, probably has never experienced this degree of love and faithfulness with a dog (possibly not with a human either). There’s something very wrong with his wiring. 😂 It’s such a horrible shame his heart is so doubting and cold. He’ll probably read this and adamantly deny it all, and that’s ok, but that in itself is a sign that my words, and those of others, are correct. He cannot fix his heart and mind without first admitting there’s a problem. I’m sure he thinks there is no problem with him and that the trouble lies with all of us. Typical.
Prayers being sent up that he’ll see the error in his thinking. He’ll guffaw over this too. Fine. He has absolutely no idea what all he’s missing though. He thinks he’s not missing anything, and that he’s right in his opinion on the video. Also typical. Talking to him is fruitless. I guess he’s right and all the 471, 000 people who love the video are wrong. Once again, typical. My sorrow for this guy deepens.
