Georgia Meloni echoes Prez Zelenskyy’s stance, highlights India’s role in Russia-Ukraine War

Days after PM Modi’s Kyiv tour, Italy PM Georgia Meloni met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Both leaders held discussions on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict at the Cernobbio Business Forum. Italian PM Giorgia Meloni said that she ‘believes India can play a role in resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict'. Meloni’s remarks followed similar comments from Ukrainian President Zelenskyy’s comment, who had earlier said that “India can stop Putin”. Notably, India has emerged as a key player amid the conflicts due to its strong diplomatic ties with war-ravaged nations.
