Great video! A neat feature of the facelifted accord is the electric folding mirrors (you have a button near the window controls). On the pre-face you have to manually fold the mirrors.

I owned a 2005 typeS in S.Africa it looked exactly the same as the euro R but had semi leather seats, 6 speed Alloy gear knob, Indicator stork on the left side and had the k24a3 engine. Good cars

Fun fact - The power increase of the facelift TSX is more significant than advertised. Because of the change in the HP rating system during that period of time, Honda decided to incorporate upgrades to remain competitive in its class. According to them, the 5hp increase is actually closer to 13-15 hp. In other words, if the old system was still used, the facelift would be rated around 215 hp.

The hp numbers for other Hondas at the time went down if they didn't receive upgrades for the new model years.

Auto gang here lol. I have an 06 Tsx Cl9. Gonna get a reflash in April hopefully. Tired of the stock tune and 1k vtec. Car dies from 5-6k & tall auto gears don't help.

The automatic have a limited of 3k revs and will launch really solidly from there if it's dry. I think you'd get between 8-8.5 launching it perfectly

I have an Accord Type-S I love it but the auto transmission is kinda annoying, I'm just glad it makes more power than the NZDM ones so I guess it makes up for its loss in a way

Great video. Do you think had the automatic had a tune it would have been more comparable performance? Or maybe comparing the auto to your 6mt before the tune, how does it hold up?

Good comparison. Id have preferred a facelift for the MPG readout, i have a UK manual 2.4, gears are too long! Getting a reflash soon. I know you can put the ep3 gearbox on them but its just £££

Does the 2.0 lack punch in lower revs in your opinion?
In relaxed driving about 2k-3k rpm

Could you combat that slow increase on the auto gears by using the tiptronic or D3, instead of D, i've noticed it revs a lot higher earlier and throttle response is much better
