Michael Jackson - This Is It (I Never Heard) (Duet with Paul Anka)

The song was recorded in 1983 and intended to be a duet between Paul Anka and Michael Jackson on Anka's Walk a Fine Line album under the title "I Never Heard", but these plans fell through. The Michael Jackson Estate found the demo tapes of This Is It and released it on the "This Is It" soundtrack. Recently Paul Anka added his vocals and completed the song for his latest "Duet" album.

This version is nice for an up tempo groove song, definitely fit for the 80s, as well as great use for today's sounds. The demo made by Michael and the one released featuring his brothers in the background vocals is a smoother song with a jazzy and traditional love song that fit for MJ. Great job Paul Anka and thumbs up to Michael for their versions.

I really really like this version a lot. The guitar and other instruments makes it sound very tangible for a song. And for reason, when Paul sings the main chorus, I like how he sung it. It's like a bridge version for the song.
