as a gymnast (for 8 years) i can say these stretches HELP get splits but they do NOT get you your splits within 5 minutes. it’s pretty hard to get any skill within five minutes but if u continue to do these stretches and work on your splits, you could definitely get a split !

I’ve been doing gymnastics for almost 9 years now so this helped alongside my regular stretching routine but if your new to gymnastics or dancing don’t expect to get your splits in 5 minutes. It takes along time!

A few tips to help though:
•Put of some socks. It sounds stupid but if you’re on a carpet or on a yoga mat, it will help you slide easier.
•Focus on stretching your hamstrings and your hip flexors (Literally parts of your body that help encourage hip mobility)
•Put on a heater or a few layers of clothes to help warm your muscles so you don’t injure yourself.
•Don’t rush yourself! If one version of that stretch hurts too much or is really difficult, find an easier form of that stretch. You’ll eventually be able to do the more difficult stretch if you stick to it. Don’t give up!
•And finally, don’t be disheartened if you don’t get them instantly. It takes a while (for me almost a year and i’m still learning) but you’ll come around eventually.

I have done dance for since i was 7 and these stretches really helped it tooked me a few weeks but it finally worked!!! Thanks so much!!
