How to Remove A 2015 - 2020 Ford Mustang Tail Light - Change Replace LED Brake Taillight Replacement

A video tutorial on how to remove and replace the LED tail light / brake light assembly on a 2015 - 2020 Ford Mustang.

Perform the following steps to remove / replace the LED tail light or brake light assembly on your Ford Mustang.
1. Turn the Mustang engine off.
2. Open the trunk.
3. Remove the two "T" handle retaining nuts and the two plastic rivets.
4. Pull the carpet back to expose the rear of the LED tail light / brake light assembly.
5. Remove the three 10mm nuts securing the LED tail light / brake light assembly.
6. Disconnect the tail lamp / brake lamp connections.

A bit of advice so you dont lose your interior carpet retaining clips, place a piece of painter's or masking tape overtop of the rounded head of the clip and tape it to the pry tool before you pop them loose so you don't send them flying across the room like I did.

Dumb question I tried splicing my headlight wires. For some reason both my headlight and tail light went out. Are the wires connected from headlight to taillight? Or is this a completely different problem

My 2017 GT doesn't have a second connection, so you'll have to pull the whole wire through hole to get it out
