The Gig Geezer made $2,273.78 in the week ending April 2, 2023, and that did not include completing a single DoorDash order. Gig food delivery orders comprised less than 10 percent of his earnings last week. The remaining 90 percent was made via last-mile opportunities.

The reason I use the delivery apps is because I'm traveling across the country and can do it anywhere. I'm thinking about getting a cargo van or box truck to pull my Prius home and hopefully provide an additional source of income.

$1200 for 1200 miles is worth it only IF you did not come back empty.. If you did come back empty, that's at least $600 gas😩, not sure about tolls in that area, then food... probably ended up with $300 profit for loooong hour drive. I am 67 years old and have a CDL class A. I had to stop O/R work over 12 years ago due to the need to take care of elderly parents. During that 12 years I worked for Wal-Mart doing retail. Now they are not giving part-time employees who will not work weekends hours that would supplement my Social Security. That being said I am looking to get a Sprinter van. I have driven for expedited carriers in the past so I am familiar with that industry. However, I'm not interested in working full-time anymore. I just need to supplement my Social Security. Would you recommend the Gig thing. I would probably be more interested in not having to load and unload anything heavy. Any advice would be appreciated. I am 75-100 miles North of Atlanta.
