Kylo Ren/Ben Solo is literally the best thing in this whole Sequel trilogy. He’s the grandson of Anakin Skywalker and shows so much emotion and conflict within him it’s amazing. I love him and the actor.

I don’t understand why people hate on Kylo/Ben in many ways he CARRIED the trilogy some scenes wouldn’t exist without his presence in them and many People just say
“But he’s just a carbon copy of Vader it’s dumb”
Well yeah that’s the point he is a zealot if his grandfather he wants to become like him or even better overcome him in his legacy and deeds BUT at the same time he isn’t at all like Vader Vader is always calm cool collected while Kylo throws fits and destroys things in a rage or tantrum like a child just showing US the audience how torn he is how unstable he is as a person then we see HIM kill his father believing that it would end his pain and fully turn him when it didn’t just like what Snoke said
“And the deed split you to your bones!”
Then in the 2nd film he has a chance to kill his mother BUT HE DIDNT he spared her then he finds Rey who for some reason entices him and lured him closer to the light but again his entire philosophy is
“Let the past die, kill it if you have to. That’s the only way to become what you were meant to
Which is why he wants everything to die the rebels the old sith the legacies of the Jedi and the Empire
Then when he faces Luke we realize that he is still haunted by his father showing that he is still in pain in torment BUT he didn’t kill Luke his past didn’t die
Then we see all throughout the 3rd film his light begin to come forth we see him try and negotiate with Rey then in a way he try’s to save Rey from herself then when he is about to kill her HIS mother reaches out and convinced him to halt then WE SEE his father LITERALLY they re-enact the scene where they killed him and again Kylos philosophy comes to the screen when he says
“It’s too late I can’t go back”
He believes he is too far gone but then his father convinces him to come back AND this time he throws the saber away he is now no longer Kylo Ren but once again Ben Solo it is literally saying to US the AUDIENCE
“Yes Ben chose the dark side in the first film BUT he chose wrong NOW he chose right”
Then he saves Rey and in the end Redeems himself for all of his deeds in a way he did follow his grandfathers legacy and he became Ben Solo again I loved his character it was new and fresh within the series and while Vader always has his “badass bad guy” moments in films it always seemed controlled or subdued while Kylos was like an animal like a brute just pure raw and untamed power going through him all at once this edit was EPIC it showed us all of the parallels in his story to that of Anakin’s or even Luke’s it showed his entire story of how powerful and ruthless he could be to then how torn and broken he was to then coming back to the light and redeeming himself this was beautiful and epic on scales that made my midichlorians vibrate on edge I can’t wait to see what you do next KEEP

The. Parallels. 👏 Everyone says it but I’ll say it again but it’s the theme this video conveys: Ben did what his grandfather could not - saved the one he loved. This video was truly a masterpiece not just because of the editing which was MASTERFUL (the transitions, the scenes that somehow went perfectly w the song, the dialogue) but the focus: Ben Solo’s REDEMPTION. I love the choice not to include his death because that’s not what redemption is! Redemption means living and learning from you mistakes and that’s what Ben Solo deserved! Thank you for this work of art

I love love love how you used lines all the way from the prequels to the sequels to narrate his journey and show the parallels. The part where Vader said "There is no conflict", paired with the parts where Ben begins to return to the light is absolutely beautiful. All his life he was conflicted between the light and the dark and now, with the help of everyone who loved him, he's no longer torn between the two ❤️
