For this album review, Conan Gray brings in industry veterans and throws back to the glory days of 1980s synthpop for a passable album.

Best Songs: 'Never Ending Song’, ‘Fainted Love’, ‘Killing Me’

Man you really have been pumping out the solo reviews lately.
I hope it ends up paying off. You're so underrated it's crazy.

The most I enjoyed Conan Gray record period. No it's not amazing or anything out there, but for what it is I had fun with it.

I remember someone in my 12th Grade creative writing wrote something about good songs, and one of them was Heather by Conan Gray.

I liked Superache more than Kid Crow or Found Heaven, probably because the themes about being forever marked by your childhood unstable environment is something I relate to (in a different way than him, but I still get it). Conan Gray has a distinctive timber and a great personality. He also seems like an energetic performer and I think he has an abundance of charisma... Unfortunately, I must admit that Superache is the only album of his that I've gone back to.

huge Conan fan and while this album didn't click with me initially it has been growing on me.
i think i enjoy Conan mostly for his writing and relatable lyrics than his production. The 80s production while effective can also feel a little done before.

Really glad you decided to give it a shot even if it's not for you.

Well, at least you seem to like Never Ending Song. That song is SUCH A BOP. Also, I get and respect your opinion on him, but Conan Gray is SUCH a talented and underrated artist imo. He deserves SO MUCH MORE.

I think I was getting really tired of Conan Gray’s style after his first two albums, and desperately needed a change up. And while I appreciate the switch up in style leaning into the 80’s and mixing it with his unique writing, the 80’s revivalism sound is a bit played out at this point.

i wanted to like conan grey, cause he’s queer, he’s friends with olivia rodrigo and taylor swift, who should be great influences, but oh my god his music outside of maniac and a few parts of superache (which i didn’t even finish) is INSUFFERABLE it’s so petty and whiney and
