2 Day Trek Up Mt. Whitney - 14,505 Foot Peak

Backpacking Mt. Whitney, the tallest mountain in the contiguous United States, was an adventure of a lifetime for me. I completed my summit hike July 30 and 31, 2024, staying at Trail Camp (12,00 feet altitude) and ascending the following morning. If you have done Mt. Whitney, I want to hear about it! Or ... if you have any questions about the mountain, I will do my best to help in the comments!

Day hiked summit 4 times, once via Mountaineers Rt. 16 hrs. RT. Rock helmet highly recommended on the switchbacks and upper traverse. Lots of loose rocks that can fall from above, or trip you on the trail.

Very nice video! Congratulations on your summit! Glad to see you put your sunglasses on. You should be wearing them all the time. You need to protect your eyes from the sun.

Wow Jamie! So cool! You made me emotional when you got emotional! I loved the fun words you used - ‘bonkin’ ‘cookin’ cracked me up! Great job Jamie! Amazing video as always

So green! My daughter and I did it just last week in one day. Brutal but a great accomplishment.

Congratulations, Jamie!!🎉 Way to go. What an amazing accomplishment. I’m seriously proud of you. You made it look easy. I would have been emotional, as well. You’ve been looking forward to summiting Mt. Whitney for a while. Now you can check that goal off of your list. Mad respect! Well done. 👍🏼 🎉
