En natt forbi

In my current cover world, I have also started looking at older, Norwegian melodies. Here I am doing a cover version of Jan Eggum's "En natt forbi".
Jan Eggum is a Norwegian singer from Bergen who has been central to Norwegian popular music since the mid-1970s. Eggum writes, composes, sings and plays guitar in the borderland between shows and pop rock and has been called a "cheerful melancholic".
He made his recording debut with the self-titled album Jan Eggum in 1975 and has won increasing recognition for his distinctive songs. He is also well known from Gitarkamatereten.
Eggum was awarded the Spellemannprisen for both Heksedans (1977) and En natt forbi (1979). The former album contains, among other things, Mother I will return, the latter, among other things, En natt forbi. Both are among his most famous songs.
