Pavel Datsyuk's KHL Adventures

After spending 14 seasons in the NHL, scoring over 900 points in 950 games and lifting 2 Stanley Cup Championships among his several other awards, on June 18th 2016, Pavel Datsyuk left the league for good and returned home to Russia. However, that doesn't mean his long and successful hockey career was over too. In fact, 'The Magic Man' has spent the last half a decade playing in the KHL where he has continued to produce solid scoring numbers and win his fair share of awards well into his early 40s.

Given that it's been a while since he last suited up in North America, I figured it would be fun to take a look at what the former 6th round draft pick has been up recently. So in today's video, join me as we take a look at Pavel Datsyuk's KHL adventures!

As a life long Wings fan, I miss Datsyuk. Wasnt mad at him or upset when he went home, am glad to hear he's still continuing to be the magic man into his 40's

He’s a member of the “Quintet Gold Group”. Stanley Cup, WC Gold, Olympic Gold, Super League Cup, and Garmin Cup! The first & only member

I met people who were so upset that he left but they no idea what he was going through. Its all about family first. The magic man will always be the best two way player I ever have seen. HOFER soon. I think with out a doubt!!

Helluva a player and a helluva rival for my Penguins. I miss Datsyuk, Lidstrom, and our 2008 to 2009 duels.

Meanwhile, Rangers have been losers since 94.

He was still a top NHL player in '15-'16. Offense had declined but defense was as good as ever.

11 of the 29 in the triple gold club were on the Redwings between '95 and '10, the most dominant Redwings years. Since Howe played at least.

Haha actually starting to get annoyed by the way he ends the last words in every sentence, “he went home to “he was a good
“He signed with
“His wife and teenage

Hopefully when he finally retires he can become a scout for the Wings

Imo Datsyuk is one of those players, that if he doesn't have good season, he will prove in the next one, that he can be good. Many players should learn from that attitude.

Datsyuk doesn't want to go to the KHL All-Star games, it's not like they didn't ask him. They really did, but he didn't want to wore off his body too much.

I wonder if he'll end up coaching after hanging up the skates.
