✅ Today's tutorial I show you how to play and listen to copyrighted music on your Twitch stream without getting a copyright strike DMCA warning or getting your saved past broadcast Twitch VOD muted. This works for OBS Studio & Streamlabs since they both have the Twitch VOD Track feature.

**If you don't see the Twitch VOD Track option on Streamlabs, simply log out of Streamlabs in the bottom left and log back in :)

Finally a video that explains how to split up the audio! I tried like 4 to 5 other videos and I got nowhere. Thanks to you, I got this running in Streamlabs!

Just a heads up to anyone that is using the vertical plugin, make sure you turn off both 'backtrack' recording settings while setting this up (you can renable it afterwards). If you don't you won't have access to the 'Streaming Settings' under the Output tab! Hope this helps someone! Fantastic video by the way, easy to follow and great explanation!

Cpaws, this video is GOLD! I can't express enough my gratitude on how to set this up, you definitely made it accessible to everyone (including grandmas as you said). I was crawling up walls thinking how are streamers getting away with very obviously copywrited music in their streams without risking muted videos and account bans. Thanks for this! I can Spotify now!

You are welcome and free to use our song "King CAAN - Go Again" safely in your streams :)

For those ppl whose Vods are still catching spotify music, the issue would be: Stream service constantly switching over to "custom" from "twitch"

the solution: Go to your streamlabs plugin (the plugin not the site) and turn off "Start streaming flow"

This is actually what I need rn. I've been tagged w/ copyright and got muted. Now I can avoid that on my VOD. Thank you!.

Hey, great video! HEADS UP: If you don't hear your alerts ON STREAM anymore that's because you have to enable "control through OBS" on your alerts browser source properties. Otherwise it won't play on stream but you'll still hear it. By that you activate the source in the advanced audio settings like it shows up here 12:36. Without the enabled control through OBS it won't play on stream! Also you wanna turn on monitor and output in the advanced audio settings for your source *

if you have a slow time learning things like me its pretty much this for the tracks:

1. live
2. game audio
3. mic audio
4. recording
5. discord/music
6. VODS/broadcasting

Splitting audio is a handy feature for a variety of reasons including editing a video that you are producing. This however does not make you free from the required permissions to use copyrighted music during the live stream itself.

I did all of these steps but it still picked up the audio after I streamed for 6 hours straight. So after getting numerous copyright strikes I immediately deleted that VOD and the 6 hours of streaming. I read a few comments of where someone else wrote the same thing, I did not mute the desktop audio source in OBS and will try again tomorrow. Regardless having music in the background while I streamed was amazing for me and helped me feel more entertaining while gaming. So I will make sure to do that one little step of muting that source. Thanks for making the video none the less. its a learning process. After I deleted the video the copyright strikes disappeared, so I guess they are not stressing about it since i deleted it before it could be a larger issue. I have been streaming for almost 7 years on several platforms and I am finally getting serious about having better engagement for my audience.
