The brain must remain alive in some way for a while because what about those cases where someone was dead & in the morgue for days, then revived? Which makes me wonder, How long should you wait before burying your dead pet??

The question is no one can really say if they were ever conscious before they were born! We.may feel like we will live forever.. it's either we have a spirit after were born and it grows and moves on after physical death. Or it's all a process of our nervous system.. a grand illusion.

Just a comment on the "hallucination" of sleep paralysis. As a life long 64 year old experiencer i want to say. It isn't hallucinatory in a scattered way. First I feel the atmosphere of the room become charged. I know instantly what is coming. There may or may not be a weight on my chest. I feel hands and elongated fingers grasping my arms, legs and pulling at me from where ever I am grabbed from. I might experience false awakening. I at times have fought back and literally pulled and punched and choked the attacker. In my youth I could form the word Jesus and repel the attack. As I grew older and less religious I found that using my will and forcing myself awake will repel the experience. Just wanted to share. I honestly wonder if I'm having an out of body experience or at least the beginning of one. I honestly don't know.
