Do something ONLY in the best interest of Canadians. Do NOT do something only good for politics.

The only problem is that Canada is really not that of a big deal to China. Decoupling will only hurt Canada more so than it would hurt China because our trades to China is very minimal on a grand scale of things.

I think we should decouple from corporations and their price gouging profits.

China is not responsible for blowing up Germanys "pipeline" in fact the Germanys leader was in China day's ago with business men. China is not responsible for Afghanistan or Iraq. China is not in Ukraine nor does it have 700 Military bases around the world .China has more Innovation, high speed rails etc this innovation minister needs to take trip there himself, this is follow the leader folks and the leader is USA Military industrial complex .

It’s about time Canada started thinking about this. Decoupling is the only way to rid ourselves of the CCP leach. There are hundreds of other countries around the planet that we can deal with in a safe and respectable manner unlike the relationship we have now with China.

Sure - we should stop trade with China and build everything ourselves - of course everything will cost 4 times as much for poorer quality, but hey, it will have a made in canada label!

Everything' price is 2 or 3 time than before. Do you want to make price even higher for your political correct or for you rich people?

Hard to create anything in Canada given taxes. Any subsidies would easily be taken away. Politics is tough for business.

Why did this minister say this before Trudeau went to the G20. In a corporate sales, we would not have slapped the client before the sale. Way to go! Trudea surely got a scolding from Xi JinPing
